Hood River County District Attorney John T. Sewell wrote and personally delivered this citation to a security manager at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in December 2020. It accused her of “simulating legal process,” an extremely rare felony charge. It came after his wife and other hospital staff had received “parking violation” notices on the windshields of their cars parked adjacent to the hospital, which violated hospital policy.
In one of his final acts in office as Hood River County’s district attorney, John T. Sewell wrote, signed and personally delivered a criminal citation to a security supervisor working at the hospital where the district attorney’s wife is a nurse.
The citation accused Celeste Richardson, then a security manager at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, of “simulating legal process,” an extremely rare felony charge.
