APEX Bass Tournament Comes to The Dalles May 15 through May 21

(The Dalles, Oregon) May 16, 2022 – Wild West Bass Trail’s APEX Pro Tour will host the world’s most grueling and rigorous bass fishing battle in Professional Bass Fishing history. This event will be 3 phases and will end with a process of elimination. The Spartan 580 is presented by RomanMade and A-1 Tactical & Safety. The Spartan 580 is in reference to the 580 days Aaron Martens went to battle with cancer. As this event brings the APEX Pro Tour Anglers closer together, a courageous and hard-fought battle is anticipated to unfold with twists, turns, and pure raw emotion. Gresham Man Arrested Following Home Invasion Burglaries

HOOD RIVER, Ore. – On May 10, 2022, at about 1:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1200 block of Tucker Rd. on the report of a burglary that had just occurred.  Upon arrival, an 89-year-old female resident at the location reported that a male subject had threatened her with a weapon and forced his way into her residence.  Once inside, the man bound the woman to a chair while burglarizing her residence.  The suspect left the woman bound and went to an adjacent unoccupied residence, forcibly entering and burglarizing it.  After the suspect left the area, the victim was able to free herself.  Deputies were able to identify a suspect in the case as Kevin Alexander McCallum, 51 years old, of Gresham.  On Thursday, with the assistance of the United States Marshal’s Service, McCallum was taken into custody in Gresham without incident.  He was transported to NORCOR, where he was lodged on …

Gorge Response Team Graduates New Volunteers

Hood River, OR – May 12th, 2022 – The Trauma intervention Program Northwest (TIIPNW) graduated 17 new volunteers with the Columbia River Gorge Response Team Wednesday evening May 11th. The graduation was at the Hood River Alliance Church and was attended by friends and family of the newly credentialed volunteers and conducted by the Staff of the TIP Northwest (tipnw.org). The Volunteers completed an extensive training program in November of 2021 and then 3 months of additional field experience. During the training they learned how to respond to a variety of emergency calls including homicides, suicides, house fires, motor vehicle accidents and drownings. When activated by first responders TIP Volunteers go to the scene of the event and aid people traumatized by a death. Since December they have responded to 15 calls. Volunteers are available to respond to requests from all first responder agencies in Hood River, Wasco, Skamania, and Klickitat Counties. …
