This Friday, Oct 22nd, Cathrine will lead the Tom, Dick and Harry Mtn hike.
This is a moderate out and back hike that is approximately 7.8 mile long with 1,550′ of elevation gain. From the top, there could be a great view of Mt Hood. The forecast weather at this time looks like the possibility of a little rain, so bring clothing for all conditions. You can count on wind at the summit. Also bring snacks, lunch, plenty of water, sun screen, sun glasses, etc.
We will meet and leave from the Sandy Safeway at 9:00. The trailhead is now in the new parking lot at the south end of Summit Ski Bowl. The suggest mileage fee is $6.
COVID & MASKS: Considering the increased infection rate and the serious consequences of contracting the virus, it would be prudent if everyone wear a mask when we gather at our meet point, the trailhead, and when carpooling. If everyone in a given carpool elects to not wear masks, it is their option. If anyone has not been fully vaccinated, they need to wear a mask at all times, including while hiking. Masks are optional for fully vaccinated people during the hike.
ALWAYS check for any hike updates before leaving on the morning of the hike.
