Comics & Medicine Talk with Brian Fies [Hood River Reads]

Brian Fies’s first graphic novel,Mom’s Cancer,became a founding text in the growing field of Graphic Medicine, where comics and healthcare intersect to deliver information and tell stories in new and effective ways. Brian will talk about how his book and others like it have found new audiences, and are even taught in medical schools to help students become better doctors and nurses.
