Bouldering 102: Footwork & Body Positioning
Anatomy lesson number one: regardless of how many weights you lift, the muscles in your fingers and your arms are considerably smaller than the rest of your body. Knowing how to place your feet and hips with precision and intention will make all climbing movements demand considerably less of your fingers and arms.
This session will break down basic footwork techniques-like edging, smearing, foot switches, foot crosses and flagging-and introduce drills to practice on your own to help integrate those concepts into your climbing.
