Benny Goodman: The King of Swing

Benny Goodman began performing clarinet professionally in touring dance bands while in his mid teens. Over the course of his career, he played both jazz and classical music. He is credited with the beginning of the White Swing Era and the commissioning of several modern classical orchestral works for the clarinet.
This multimedia presentation will be presented by Gordon Neal Herman in conjunction with the Hollywood Senior Center. You can register for the class at The program is open to the public and free with donations accepted.
