Beltane bonfire, May Queen, horseshoes tourney
Celebrate the middle of Spring/Beltane in an ancient way (bonfire!) this Saturday, only one day removed from the traditional May Day in downtown Mosier. Bring something to share, like food or liquid bread (beer). Or bring your musical instrument. Grand prize for the best May Queen (selected democratically by crowd response). 🙂
We provide: horseshoe tourney from 3-6, turkey franks (a.k.a. hotdogs), marshmallows, canned music (including some Kate Bush), and a cathartic, symbolic, firey sacrifice…to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Don’t forget to wear your colander! Acoustic music welcome; bring your instrument! This event is outdoors, rain or shine, and for adults only. No dogs allowed, sorry. And no mandolins either (just kidding). Mandolins are…OK.
This event is free. Make some friends! However, preregistration/RSVP is required for venue location information (a private residence).
